Bitch Slap DVD

NYC Didn’t Know What Slapped It

Today was a whirlwind with America Olivo doing interviews across New York City to promote the “Bitch Slap” DVD.

The morning started at  the Thrillist offices with David Blend. They had a great time doing a “This Or That” segment, where America was given two crazy, random options and had to pick one and explain why. She provided hilarious and memorable answers, so be sure to read the interview when it goes up.

All too soon, America had to rush off to Sirius XM Radio, to talk with “Getting Late” host Mark Seman.  The 20-minute interview flew by! Get the inside scoop when it airs on March 16 on Sirius 104 XM.

Her next interview, at Maxim, proved to be a nice break. For the “A Drink With…” segment, America got to sit and relax with Eric Alt. She revealed that her tomboy upbringing really helped when it came to playing “Camero,” since her bruises and scars actually helped her get the gig.

Even the car trip around the city was spent working, with America calling in to JoBlo’s “Arrow in the Head” podcast. They discussed how “Bitch Slap” was so fun and different from her past projects, what she’s got on the horizon, and more. The podcast will be available on Wednesday, so listen in.

The hectic day wrapped up at Fangoria with Mike Gingold.  The horror magazine’s office has a couch made out of an actual coffin and blood dripping down the walls! The atmosphere was perfectly spooky.

After spending the day discussing “Bitch Slap” and the unforgettable moments during shooting, America barely had time to see the city before catching a flight back to LA.

The interviews will be posting over the next week, so keep an eye out or check back for links to the coverage!
